Foster youth who turn 18 years old while still in the system are considered “aged-out.” Without support from caring adults, a very high percentage of these youth quickly become homeless, trafficked, or incarcerated. However, with support and guidance, these youth can beat those odds and move toward a future filled with possibilities.
The Open Table model connects local professionals and community members with an aged-out youth. The Open Table mentors meet with the youth over the course of one year to guide them towards positive change. If you would like more information about mentoring an aged-out youth through The Open Table model, please complete the questions on the following page and a member of our team will be in touch soon!
