James Storehouse: Baby Shower Request Form

James Storehouse Baby Showers are a support-based experience for expectant and new parents who are current or former foster youth, parents apart of Road to Resilience, adolescent parents (up to age 26), and are working with a social worker, case worker, or Public Health Nurse.

This is not your traditional baby shower. Instead, this is a small , intentional gathering (approximately one hour) centered on care, encouragement, and practical support for the parent.

Each shower is thoughtfully prepared by our volunteer community of moms, doulas, nurses, and trained supporters who come alongside the parents to help create a welcoming and affirming experience. Baby essentials are provided based on the needs listed in the referral form and are coordinated in advance to best support the family.

Parents are encouraged to invite the baby’s father, a trusted friend, their county support team, and/or immediate family members to join them. The heart of the shower is connection. Through offering emotional support, resources, and a sense of community our hope is for every parent to leave feeling seen, supported, and equipped, not just gifted.

For parents who are primarily seeking baby essentials or additional resources, or who may not feel ready for an in-person gathering, we recommend registering for a Pickup or Delivery Shower. This option ensures families still receive needed items and support in a way that best fits their comfort level and current season.

Our goal is to help you welcome your new little one into your life and home! Please complete the following questions as best as possible.
